Total Rewards for Full Time Employees

Medical Insurance

Pueblo County offers four (4) medical insurance plans: High Deductible Heath Plan (HDHP), an HMO Deductible, a Low HMO, and a PPO. Pueblo County provides a subsidy (Employer Spending Credit) to offset the cost of Medical Insurance based on the employee’s preference of Employee Only, Couple or Family (2+). Pueblo County covers 100% of the cost for the HDHP for the employee. Employees can also benefit from a Health Savings Account when they select the HDHP.

Employer Contribution

Pueblo County believes in assisting its employees to pay their medical insurance, so they provide a monthly contribution to offset the cost of the premiums for the plan they choose. The amount the employee receives from Pueblo County towards the cost of their medical insurance is determined by their choice of coverage for Employee Only, Couple, or Family.

Dental Insurance

Good oral care enhances overall physical health, appearance, and mental well-being. Problems with teeth and gums are common and easily treated health problems. For these reasons, Pueblo County offers an expanded dental plan that includes orthodontia for dependent children.
